The World Championships are now only seven weeks away. If you haven't already decided to make the trip to Frankfurt, Germany for October 18-21, perhaps these promos featuring Deep Space 9 fan favorite Elim Garak will entice you:
Each participant in the First Edition, Second Edition and Tribbles World Championships will receive a promo for that game, as well as other exciting prizes.
2013 World Championships Global Side-Events Challenge
Players that can't get to Germany for the World Championships will still have the chance to obtain a 2013 World Championships promo via the Global Side-Events Challenge. We have five sets of promos (one for each game) available as prizes to anyone who wins a tournament while the World Championships are being held.
The Objective - Win a First Edition, Second Edition or Tribbles tournament from the 18th to the 21st of October 2013 (inclusive).
The Prize - A chance at one of five sets of the three exclusive 2013 World Championships virtual promos!
How to Enter - Tournament organizers should register their event in the tournament system at least one week before the event is due to take place, and then post all the results by Tuesday the 29th of October 2013. The event must be a sanctioned format as described in Section 4 of the Organized Play Guide [PDF].
If you don't have a local tournament organizer, don't despair - anyone can run an event! Just schedule your own event in our tournament system and call over three or more friends to participate! It's free to run tournaments and it takes almost no time at all! Please, feel free to advertise your event in the Local Tournaments forum. Tournament prize kits may be requisitioned from The Promenade (although, you must have run at least one tournament to become eligible to do so.)
After October 29th, we'll randomly draw the name of five winners from the events held during the World Championships extended weekend, and those lucky tournament champions will each receive a full set of all three 2013 World Championship promos!
More details about the World Championships can be found in the World Championships forum. Stay tuned, as the complete tournament schedule is due to be announced there in the next few days.
