Starbase Indy: The 18th Generation

Join Starbase 1816, Indianapolis’ local Star Trek: CCG group this year for the festivities at the Starbase Indy, 18^th annual local Star Trek /Sci Fi convention.  We will be hosting intro events for First Edition and Second Edition as well as some OTF and Tribbles tournaments.  Check out our events listing on the tournaments page. Star Trek guests of honor include: René Auberjonois (Odo), Armin Shimerman (Quark), Suzie Plankson (K’hler/Female Q).

Want a place to get away from it all during Thanksgiving weekend? Starbase Indy is the place for you! It’s a science fiction convention run by the fans, for the fans, in Indianapolis. Come join us.

What can you experience at Starbase Indy? Well, there’s –

• Science programming, such as Dr. Rob on Weird Science and Dr. Vasavada on the cosmos.
• The Dealers’ Room, containing unique merchandise with a sci-fi bent.
• A Qigong workshop on Saturday conducted by guest star Musetta Vander (soon to be added under Store tab for registration).
• Children’s programming, including Dow AgroSciences demonstrations on Saturday. Hey, parents, kids under 12 are free! How’s that for budget-friendly?
• The Federation vs. Klingon Battle of the Bands, starring Five Year Mission and iL Troubadore.
• The Con Suite, where you can relax and visit with fellow fans.
• Photo ops. with the stars –from Deep Space Nine, Stargate SG-1, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
• The Masquerade on Saturday night. Be creative. Be original. Let your inner geek out.
• Sci-Fi Photo Guys will green screen you into a cool sci-fi background.
