Matthyas Kiraly to Step Down as OP Director

by Charlie Plaine, Chairman

15th June 2015

Today it is our unfortunate duty to report that Matthyas Kiraly (stoovie) will be stepping down as the Director of Organized Play in the autumn of 2015. Matthyas took the position in January 2014, stepping up from his previous position as the Australian Continental Coordinator. Over the past year and half, Matthyas has ensured that the continental coordinators gain more authority over their spheres of influence and that our organized play programs continue to grow and evolve. Matthyas is stepping down for personal reasons, and his absence will be greatly missed.

However, his departure is not immediate. Matthyas is remaining in the role until Autumn to ensure that we have a smooth transition to our next Director of Organized Play. Details and information on the search for a new Direction will be forthcoming. In the mean time, please continue to send messages regarding Organized Play issues to both Matthyas (stoovie) and to the appropriate Continental Coordinator:

North AmericaMichael Van Breemen (The Ninja Scot)
Europe/AfricaThomas Schneider (thsch)
Australia/AsiaSteve Hartmann (chompers)

I hope everyone will join me in thanking Matthyas for his hard work and dedication to this community over the past six years. Please stay tuned to the website for details on our search for a new Director of Organized Play in the coming weeks.
