Ken Tufts is the New Director of Organized Play

by Charlie Plaine, Chairman

15th October 2015

It is my great pleasure to announce that Ken Tufts [Worf Son of Mogh] has accepted our offer to become the new Director of Organized Play, effective immediately. Ken not only has significant experience and success as a player, but also as a tournament organizer. In addition to his experience, Ken gave a tremendous interview during the application process, demonstrating clear leadership and understanding of the challenges faced by the Organized Play team.

Ken had this to say about his selection for this position:

I am ecstatic to accept this position. I look forward to working with the OP team as I consider having OP opportunities to be a key cornerstone of keeping people playing the games I've played and been a fan of for so long. I will push OP to not only do our best to maintain our high standards for OP but to improve the experience and availability of events going forward. I want to thank Charlie and the Continuing Committee for this great opportunity, and I hope to see you all at our events. Lastly I want to thank all of the past OP directors who's shoes I am stepping into. Without their work, dedication, and sacrifice, I would not have this opportunity to give back to the community I love. I hope I can live up to the high standards and expectations they have set for the position.

Ken will join the Organized Play team immediately, and will be working with outgoing director Matthyas Kiraly [stoovie] through the end of the year. This will help ensure Ken receives proper training, and will also allow a smooth transition. Ken will fully and solely become the Director of Organized Play in January 2016.

Please join me in welcoming Ken to the team, and to his new position.
