Welcome to Borg Week

by Maggie Geppert, Vice Chairman

5th November 2017

Welcome to Borg week!  If you’re feeling assimilated, check out some Borg-related episodes.  You could try to get the Best of Both Worlds or meet Hugh in I, Borg.  You might visit a Dark Frontier, but don’t get stung by the Scorpion.  Maybe you need to undergo Regeneration.  Or maybe you just want to make First Contact.

We have some fun stuff for you this week.  Charlie Plaine will be telling us about Borg design in First and Second Edition. I punted on the First Edition n00b article.  Instead, Niall Matthew will be talking First Edition Borg with an intermediate-level deck design (since new First Edition players probably shouldn’t pick up a Borg deck on their first go). I’ll be showing off my Second Edition Project Excelsior Borg build and Ross Fertel will be talking about This Side of Paradise, just to bring us a little color and contrast.  Oh, and check out Niall and Barry Windschitl talking up their Top 5 Borg cards.

Now to this week’s puzzle.  Below are five different 1E and or 2E Borg drones.  Solve the math problem to identify the drone.

63÷7 of the seventh prime number

Derivative of x2 (where x = 6) of 6×16

Gives you the Robber in Catan of 93 – 720

2÷ sin (30º) of 5 + 21/3

3! of n(n+1)/2 (where n = 4)

PM your solution to me (jadziadax8) before 11:59 pm CST (that’s -6:00 GMT) on November 11th, 2017.  I will choose one random winner from all correct entries.  The winner will choose between a themed First Edition or Second Edition promo card.
