Brad DeFruiter to Resign as Second Edition Lead Designer

The Continuing Committee regrets to announce that Brad DeFruiter, long-time Second Edition Lead Designer, will be resigning from his position after the completion of the upcoming virtual expansion, Extreme Measures, due out in January 2011.

For the past eight years, Brad has worked tirelessly and faithfully on Second Edition, and this organization and this community owes him our sincere thanks and gratitude. Brad has decided to focus on his real life opportunities, leaving him little to no time to continue in his time-intensive position. All of us at The Continuing Committee appreciate Brad's hard work and dedication, and wish him the best of luck in the future.

Brad has been working hard to train a talented and diverse stable of assistant designers over the past four years, and we have confidence in that team to shepherd the game forward into new and exciting territories. After the release of Extreme Measures, we'll begin the search for an official replacement for the Lead Designer position.

Brad will be missed, but the future of the game is not in doubt. We're all very passionate about Second Edition and we're dedicated to ensuring it has a long and healthy future.
