North American Continentals

by Dan Hamman, North American Continentals Director

7th July 2011

"Timeline! ...What was I saying?" - Deanna Troi, First Contact

Several months ago when we mapped out the schedule of events for the North American Continental Championships, we made a few decisions. One of them was to overlap the First and Second Edition Championships to maximize the use of our long three-day weekend. As time went on, we realized that there would be more participation in each event if we separated the First and Second Editiontournaments across all three days. The compromise is that Sunday's 2E Day-Two Championship will probably extend to 3pm. This is a bit later than we originally planned (to accommodate those trying to fly home that afternoon). We queried those folks who have expressed interest in traveling in, and the response has been largely positive.

We have elected to act on these changes. Below you will see the final schedule for the 2011 North American Continentals Weekend. If you are planning to join us and these changes disrupt your travel arrangements, please contact SirDan immediately.

In addition, we will are selling pre-registration for the entire weekend's events through the Promenade. The cost for participation in any or all tournaments is $35 if paid for before July 11th, or $40 at the door. Note that this cost includes access to a refrigerator filled with pop, snacks throughout the weekend, and pizza dinner on Saturday night.
