Playtesters Wanted

by Charlie Plaine, Chairman

10th October 2011

On Monday, October 10, 2011, The Continuing Committee posted opportunities to join both the First Edition and Second Edition playtesting corps. Interested parties should visit the Volunteer Page to find out all the details.

We're looking for several new groups to join our corps of dedicated volunteer testers to ensure that we can continue to produce fun, balanced, and effective virtual expansions.

Note: These positions are for physical (in person) groups only. We are not accepting applications for online (Lackey) groups at this time.

While being a play tester isn't a glamorous job, it's a vitally important one. Our play testers work hard to ensure that the new cards we release are clean, fair, effective, fun, and most importantly - balanced. Design and rules work hard to ensure the game has a stable future, but we need the eyes of diverse and dedicated players from across the globe to ensure we don't miss any card interactions.

Applicants should be aware that play testing is not for everyone, and that we do hold our testers to a higher standard than most. You will be expected to play test often and to file detailed, clear, and concise reports each time you test. You will also be expected to be discrete and adhere to our confidentiality policy. In return, you'll not only be working on expansions months before they are released, but you and your group will receive a compensation package each expansion based on the quantity and quality of your feedback.

If you have questions, or to find out how to apply for these positions, please visit the Volunteer Page. As a reminder, we are not accepting applications for online testing groups at this time.
