Voting for Challenge #6 is OPEN until TUESDAY November 22!

by Charlie Plaine, Chairman

14th November 2011

We need your help and we need your votes! Although voting was down again for Challenge #5, this is the final challenge of Phase I - this is your last chance to have a say in which team of aspiring designers will continue on to the individual challenges, and which will be done with the competition this year.

Challenge #6: Fill the Gap
Given cards with fixed creative elements, create game text for each of six (6) different cards that matches the creative and physical limitations of each.

The challenge explanation on the MiS forums talks the difficulties in filling holes and creating simple cards. Here are the creative elements that each team was given:

Dilemma: Hasty Preparations
"You either need a new uniform or a new neck."

Event: Predestination Paradox
"Didn't you take Elementary Temporal Mechanics at the Academy? I may be destined to fall in love with that woman and… become my own great-grandfather."

Interrupt: Threshold
"It means that you would occupy every point in the universe simultaneously. In theory, you could go any place in the wink of an eye. Time and distance would have no meaning."

Planet Mission: Gather Specimen
Planet Alfa 177: "At night, it gets down to 120 degrees below zero."

Federation Personnel: Erik Pressman, Determined Admiral
"Frankly, I've always felt it was more important for an officer to trust his captain's judgment."

Romulan Ship: Raptor One, Impostor
"Stabilize the Drone for battle. Activating the holographic skin."

Here are the team's submissions:

Don't forget that this year, the public votes are a huge factor in each challenge's outcome. Every vote counts! And, if you vote, you might be eligible to get a random tournament foil just for expressing your opinion!

To vote, simply fill out the survey below! Your votes will be recorded when you submit the results and saved, so that if you change your mind later, you can come back and re-vote.

Voting has been extended until midnight (GMT-6) on Tuesday, November 22. If you didn't get your votes in last week or wanted to tweak something, please get them in before Tuesday evening! Results will be announced Wednesday!
