Worlds 2016

by Nicholas Yankovec, Worlds Organiser

9th January 2016

Located on the South Bank of the river Thames, between Blackfriars and London Bridges, and a stones throw from Shakespeare's Globe stands the IBIS Style Southwark Rose hotel, the host for the 2016 Star Trek CCG World Championships!

The location of the venue is fantastic... literally minutes from London Bridge, with excellent access to all the great stuff located on the South Bank, fantastic bars (and I can't recommend the Swan bar, at Shakespeare's Globe, enough), amazing restaurants, and some of the best city views in the world...

Local attractions abound, such as the Clink prison museum, the London Dungeon, the London Bridge Tombs, slightly further out West you'll find the London Eye, and the Oxo Tower, head further east to Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, maybe even pop into the Pomeller's Rest to see where the London playgroup meets.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be writing up a few articles to cover local accommodation, a more in depth look at tourist attractions, travel, local bars and eateries, and of course the all important tournament schedule. If you would like an article on anything in particular, then please ask in the comments within the Articles thread.

I look forward to seeing most of you in September!
