Now Hiring: Proofreading Manager

The Continuing Committee is looking for an individual to take charge of our proofreading team. Proofreading is an essential (and unfortunately, often overlooked) step in creating quality documents and cards. We have a team of proofreaders in place, but need someone to take the lead of the group.

Job duties would include:

• Managing the proofreading staff.
• Providing a single point of contact for Brand Managers and document authors for proofreading needs.
• Maintain style guides for each edition to ensure consistency.
• Ensure documents and expansion files are proofread on time.

The position does not require regular weekly work, but must manage work in shorter bursts. For example, there may be a month or so of downtime followed by a three week rush period for an expansion release.

The ideal candidate will have excellent command of the English language and attention to detail. Experience in proofreading is welcome, but not required. In addition, candidates for whom English is not their primary language are strongly encouraged to apply.
