2017 European Continental Championships

Good news everybody!
Your new European Organized Play Coordinator is finally settled in (kind of); and after a hectic month of exploring alternative locations for this year's main event, we're proud to announce that the European Continentals will be returning to Vienna once more!
By the way, don't worry, this will not be the kind of dictatorship where all major European events go to Vienna. We're perfectly happy to invade other countries, just not on such a tight schedule... (Who would have expected to hear an Austrian say that?) Thus, if you're interested in hosting the European Continentals 2018, please PM me any time!
Now, without further ado, here are the facts:
The time:
Friday, July 14th - Sunday, July 16th, 2017
(Yes, we're aware that this conincides with the North American Continentals. This could not be helped if we wanted the venue to ourselves. Apologies if you were planning to attend both.)

As always, we're going to play at the JAZZLAND, a charming jazz club located right in the heart of the capital, totally surrounded by places to go and sights to see. The JAZZLAND will be closed to regular business and considered an all-Trek zone for the weekend, including our private bar with cheap prices.
hotels:
Like the previous years, we have negotiated a special deal at the traditional viennese Hotel Kärntnerhof. To get the discount, just mention "Jazzland" with your booking; they have agreed to keep a room block reserved for us until May.
Other nearby hotels include: the Marc Aurel and the Mercure.
