Well, I think I will join. So here is my team, know as "All the Australians I ever played against and Ensign Gibbers (because he seems ambitious)":

Kieren Otton: 15
Daniel Waller: 25
Mike Nugent: 20
Robert Dawson: 35
Craig Giblett 5

With a week to go to the first event for the continentals, it appears, at a glance, that Kieren Otton is the most popular pick for people's dream teams!

Do you feel the pressure mate? lol! :)

In a nutshell-no :)

I've been in the lab the last few weeks and I'm about to unleash a format defining deck on the unexpecting TREK public July 2. That, and I'm going to The Biermeister for the first time, mean that at 15 points I am, as I have been called before, fairly cheap... 8)

This will be grand. I can't wait!

And the Dream Team pick that everyone's been wait for:

Kieren Otton: 15
Daniel Waller: 25
Mike Nugent: 20
Craig Giblett: 5
Robert Dawson: 35

I know it's the same as Thomas' pick, maybe like me he's just a good judge of character.
Since I have to pick myself I'm making sure I'm at every event I can be at.

Great to hear! And you have never let us down either! :)

Speaking solely as a player, I can honestly say this will be an absolutely fantastic weekend of Star Trek CCG. When my STCCG time is up one day (pfft, doubt it!), these AC's trips are always going to be my most cherished moments in the game, beating any personal glories I've experienced in the game by miles... including the first time I met Brad DeFruiter and Evan "Can I pull my pants up any higher?" Lorentz. ;)

For those out of Sydney people wanting to make a slightly more informed decision on the locals for their Dream Team, I've posted an article on Trek Australia that can be found

Ok. I'm calling it here. Please do not edit existing entries (entries edited after the time of this post will be disqualified).

Good luck to all competitors of this competition, and good luck to all the Australian players participating in the 2010 AC!

I'm posting Dream Team points in the Wrap-Up reports. Once I have completed all the reports and have all the final calculations, I will post the winner(s) here!

Would of loved to put a Clarke brother in it, but they are too costy for my liking. After seeing Robs performance last year, he would get a spot, but I reckon kieren is under-costed so I ended up dropping Rob for 2 sydney players.

Now for my humble team of top tier Aussies that aren't me:

Mike Nugent: 20
Clayton Walton: 30
Kieren Otton: 15
Kenny Nguyen: 15
Michael Lou: 20

I might bring out my super Ferengi deck that can't crew a ship for the Nationals - so everyone be warned!

My picks .... based on the Sydney players that keep beating me

Shane 35
Peter 25
Kieren 15
Kenny 15

and can't help but pick myself

Steve H 10

.... my oversized ego makes me feel undercosted - shame i can't seem to back that up with a decent deck :)
