I made a deck for a tournament today that would have qualified for the Live Long and Prosper Release - however, I noticed the achievement was only good for 5 weeks... which ended more than a month ago (the weekend after Worlds).
Honestly, I don't think that is enough time to give players the opportunity to earn such an achievement. Look at how many people earned the achievement - five! That's about the same number who earned the last 2E release achievement.
First off, the World Championship was smack in the middle of the 5 week period - and few players want to try something brand new with everything on the line... in fact, there was only two constructed 1E events at Worlds: WCT Championship and Worlds Days 1&2 - both high k-value events.
Secondly, we here in Florida had a little something called Hurricane Irma, which postponed our original release date event from the September until November.
I would be in favor of having release achievements be active for 3 months. That gives TDs an opportunity to schedule an event. Remember, some groups play both 1E and 2E - which means that the 5-week window may not fall within a period when some people have a day off to schedule a tournament or if a group plays just once a month - their two events may fall outside of the 5 weeks.
Just something to consider in the future.
Thanks
Sean
