Are we going to see more [Vul] cards? Yeah, there's a decent amount but this will probably be the last chance for any decent support anytime soon?

Honestly, I think they get a huge chunk of support from this card. -Michael

Since Cold Front was nearly locked by the time LLAP was released, it was hard to know what kinds of support Vulcans needed. We had some dissident stuff they could take advantage of, but most of it got pushed. -James

Maybe even a [Vul] HQ card? All the other Alpha Quadrant affiliations get one.

What about more [SF] cards?

I do see one [SF] card in this set. There was a second one, back when we were looking at Terra Prime for the dissident theme, but, again, pushed. -James

Maybe some Suliban? Silik's feeling all lonely. We could get Sarin, who was from the Cold Front episode, and also would be a [NA] [22] female for Comfort Women...

Nevermind, guess I called it.

Yeah, this was our thought, too. Download her with Defend Homeworld OR with Temporal Benefactor as a temporal-agent-related card!

Maybe another [Kli] Prisoner?

How was 103 determined for Ferengi Gas Trap?

The general range (120 > CUNNING > 90) was determined by feedback that key reporting ships like Voyager, with huge crews on board, needed a chance to defend themselves. The specific number (103) is an absurdly obscure joke I'm still hoping somebody will get. -James

How is Holographic Camouflage supposed to work without tactics? Normal rotation damage (which would be more than a single [Flip] sometimes)? Not usable?

Not usable. Testing proved the importance of preventing a HoloCamo ship from doing 50% HULL damage per shot, so we went with the Caretaker's Wave approach and required tactics damage. -James

What was the design rationale for not allowing Holographic Camouflage to disguise as the same ship more than once? From a storyline perspective, if a ship can disguise as one ship, it shouldn't "forget" how to disguise as that same ship later on in the game...

This was originally story-driven: while the Romulans were certainly capable of re-using a particular camouflage, doing so increased the chances of their being exposed, which would cause the entire gambit to fail. (Which did, in fact, happen.)

Mechanically, it turned out it was more interesting to force players to try different ships rather than just getting the ships with the best attributes in the game and recurring them every turn for the whole game.

Also, let me add that "Cold Front" is the most exciting block expansion I've seen since "The Sky's The Limit," due in no small part to the closing of so many links with so many cool toys. It seems like there are already so many possibilities. Well done.

Am I correct to assume Boshar's skill should be parsed that EITHER a MEDICAL or SCIENCE classification Klingon gain an additional MEDICAL?

Since, you know, there's no such thing as a personnel who has two classifications? ;)

Finally more Targs! I've been waiting since AU for this. I love the [1E-AU] and extra integrity since he is a faithful pet. Hopefully there are more coming too.

I request demand the full sordid tale of this card. please. :P

Not much to tell, tbqh. We wanted to close the broken link on Antaak, so somebody pitched Boshar, based loosely on Targ and Boshar's actual role in the story. He was only slightly changed from pitch to release. Glad you like him! He's the only ANIMAL in the set. -James

I am curious how this special skill came about? I appreciate that he will be best in a [Kli] [22] deck but could theoretically be splashed in other decks the way it is worded. Any more animal goodness on the way? (Klingon or otherwise)
Also: How did the name come about? NM
P.S. Any STO players on the design team?

Can't help but ask: was my list of broken links consulted in this set's creation? Can't help but think that and if so, I'm honored.

Frequently and extensively. -James

Looks like at least one new broken link is formed - there's not room for more than one time location and the Tellarite Trading Post is universal and would only have at most one place to play... any others?

Far as I'm aware, that's it. The set should ultimately remove about a dozen items from your list. I say "about" because I'm unsure you'll accept 28V -- although, when it comes out, we can definitely talk about why it ended up the way it did (and why our original approach, closing the link more directly, failed and appears to be doomed to always fail). -James

Any [Bor] stuff? Plenty of material from 'Regeneration'.

There's a card for Borg, but it has a VOY property logo.

And last but not least, what card that hasn't been revealed yet will make us go O.o?

The remaining unrevealed conversion from What You Leave Behind introduces a new mechanic which will eventually be very interesting for advanced players but which will first be very confusing for everyone. Hopefully the article that comes out that day will make the "confusion" part short.

Was Escort Vessel as straight forward as I hope it was?

Originally, it was the ❖ U.S.S. Avenger, with matching commander Worf, a Star Trek Armada property logo, and a printed [1E-DS9] icon on the card. A whole lot of this was problematic, though, so we stripped out the weird stuff, kicked it to Creative, and they figured it out 'cause they great. -James

That said, once we locked it in, it didn't change once in all the versions of playtesting. -Dan

I'll have to wait for my Targ Herd then.
What was he originally that he had to slightly change?

He originally only benefited MEDICAL personnel, but testing said that was too weak, so we added SCIENCE. His attributes were also originally +1 across the board, but somebody (Creative? Rules?) suggested that was unusually high for an ANIMAL. And that's it!
Very easy design process on this li'l fella.

How did it come about that a 2E Personnel Card was converted to an Event Card? (Love that btw - very creative solution)?

Any chance of this actually happening, except of course for the fact the U.S.S. Avenger should be unique?

Hard to imagine, at this point. Nothing prevents it from happening, but when is the game going to need another Defiant-class ship with no particularly special stuff attached to it, particularly one that breaks Reshape The Quadrant? Never say never, but I don't foresee it. -James

In fact are there any chances of any more Star Trek Armada property logo cards coming out? Maybe an updated Toral from the game with his own ship?

Following the precedent set by Decipher, any art on an Armada card still has to be photorealistic, which means personnel are probably impossible from an art perspective. But, at the same time, Decipher made it okay to have cards in the game from Armada, so, if someday the CC released a temporal disruption card based on the U.S.S. Premonition's voyage, or a Corbomite Reflector, or whatever... I wouldn't be shocked.

Outside of Xindii stuff, how much is there left to do with Enterprise?

Others have mentioned a few things. I like to mention the rest of the Delphic Expanse, which wasn't exactly all-Xindi all the time. Usually I take a look at the Image Source List to see how many episodes have been touched barely or not at all. -James

A lot. While I don't know what else is in the expansion, there is plenty left dealing with the Vulcans, Suliban, Andorians, Regeneration Borg, creating alliances that led to the federation, Terra Prime. Other than possibly TOS, Enterprise has more material than any other series that has not been used.

Any factions, deck types, etc, that were cut?

Was a Borg Enterprise faction ever thought about/discussed?

How much did you guys look at the cut file to find ideas/cards/concepts?

We had a "slow down the game" theme in the set for most of production,
and my mantra for it was "add turns but not minutes" (basically, make turns shorter). This has been something many previous teams have tried, and the cut file is a veritable graveyard of their attempts. We brought back four or five cards from the dead for that, then added several more of our own. Then testers hated all of them and they all died. Which makes us the latest in a long line of design teams that have tried and failed to shorten the average length of a turn.

All the Reman-related cards in Cold Front were either taken directly from the cut file or are closely based on versions we found in the cut file.

What's there to do with Enterprise?

[Evt] Faith of the Heart
Lore: Even though it was not a beautiful day, Starfleet had strength of the soul. No one was going to bend or break them.
Text: Sing the Enterprise theme song to your opponent to the best of your ability. (Insert benefit here.)

Wait, I need a question so I don't go to the corner. Ahem...

What are the odds of this card being in Cold Front, 100% or 1,000,000%?

Its time is not finally here.
Is Sedis a captain?

P'Jem Sanctuary can also DL Sopek .
