Welcome to Fill in the Blank, the set-building dream card contest!

Each week I will post the collector’s information for one of the cards in the set’s cardlist. Contestants are free to create whatever card they see fit for that slot in the cardlist, keeping in mind the surrounding cards. As the contest progresses, the cardlist will become more and more defined, guiding the contests’ choices.

The theme of our set is The Villains of Star Trek. Not every card has to fit the theme, of course, but it’s something to keep in mind when voting. Speaking of voting, as per normal each contestant will vote for one of the previous week’s entries (with the exception that as the contest runner, I will vote ONLY in the case of a tie).

Our winner from last week: GooeyChewie!

This week’s card is...

Card #7!

Card #7 must come between I’m Going to Miss You (Dilemma - Card #4) and Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges (Event - Card #10). This card could easily be either a Dilemma or an Event, so go wild!

Here’s what we have so far:

Dilemmas:

1. Evil’s Plans
Danny wrote: [D] (0) Evils Plans

Your opponent discards a personnel that could be played at his or her headquarters mission from his or her hand. That personnel's cost is added to this dilemma's cost. Unless you have the skills on that personnel, all your personnel are stopped.
"And another thing. These villains always have a trick up their sleeve. Trapdoors, secret weapons."
By Danny
2.
3. Gift of the Tormentor
GooeyChewie wrote: [D] (4) Gift of the Tormentor
Dilemma
Choose one: You personnel are attributes +2 until the end of the mission attempt and your opponent scores 5 points; or lose 5 points.
"We have offered you a gift beyond all other gifts."
By GooeyChewie
4. I’m Going To Miss You
[D] 3 I'm Going To Miss You.

Dilemma

When your opponent reveals this dilemma, add 5 to each of this dilemma's requirements for each different Q event in play. Unless you have an attribute > 30, all your personnel are stopped, and if you have more points than your opponent, lose 5 points.

To play this event, you must command no headquarters missions. Plays on your Ceti Alpha V; cards you own cannot destroy this event. Take a ship you do not command from your opponent's discard pile and place it at this mission (you now command that ship and it becomes [NA] ). That ship may not move. When you complete this mission, remove this event from the game.

Hand Weapon. When any number of your personnel present are about to be stopped, place this equipment on the bottom of it's owner's deck to prevent that.
"Guaranteed to cut through reactive armor up to 15 centimeters and shields up to 4.6 gigajoules. Quick recharge. Expensive- but well worth it."

Unless you have Astrometrics, Intelligence, and Security or Weapons > 11 here, all your personnel are stopped and your opponent may place this dilemma on one of your headquarters missions.
While this dilemma is on a headquarters mission, personnel may not be played there and any player may remove this dilemma from the game by discarding personnel worth at least 6 counters from their hand.

My Entry:

Card #7

[D] 4 Vicious “Pet”

Randomly select a personnel to be killed. Unless you have a personnel with 2 Exobiology and Science or choose two Security personnel to be stopped, all your personnel are stopped.

"Perhaps it was a pet, owned by the original crew."
"Unless one of them owned a velociraptor, I find it extremely unlikely."

There are currently five personnel that can pass the first set of requirements without any skill cheating, including Mirror Phlox appropriately enough. :shifty:

All the Best,
