Every once in a while, we get the 2E conversion of a 1E card. This project converts each 1E card that does not have a 2E version yet. Generally, I take a gameplay standpoint and avoid overpowered mechanics. I work within the mechanics, icons, and keywords we already have. I try to retain the spirit of the card in some fashion, even if I have to change story for gameplay or vice versa. Afterwards, I would love feedback and will even alter the card further and save the collaborated results for comparison if the case arises.

Original:
[Obj] Prepare Landing Party
Plays on your [P] mission. At the start of your first mission attempt here, you may download one ❖ [OS] SECURITY personnel OR one [OS] equipment to Away Team. If three unique [OS] personnel with different classifications are present when you solve mission, discard objective to score points and/or draw 3 cards. Nullified if you play (or have played) a non-[OS] personnel. [5]
15 V

2E Equivalent:
[Evt] 0 Prepare Landing Party
Plays on your planet mission. When your [TOS] personnel begins a mission attempt at this mission, if there are no non-[TOS] personnel present, you may discard an interrupt from hand. If you do, while your Security personnel involved is facing a dilemma, he or she cannot be randomly selected until the end of that mission attempt.
“Alert security. … We'll land in the vicinity of the distress signals now being received.”

Notes:
There is a lot going on in the 1E version! Get a free guy or gear, solving with diversity, bonus points and draws, and restricting the deck to Original Series cards. I kept the Security aspect and deckbuilding restrictions. With my version, the Security personnel are ready to help the rest get to the end and actually solve the problem. The cost of an interrupt felt right for the umbrella protection.

Next: Reunite 4-Costers

Nate Winchester wrote:"prepare" landing party seems like it should be download a [TOS] security (non-unique?) if you control a [TOS] officer and medical. For something where they ARE the landing party, "if a [TOS] [Cmd] is about to be killed, kill a [TOS] security instead"?
I think Evans might be the card you're looking for. He could download a [TOS] Security or Final Cry, which allows the redshirts from your hand to jump in front of the bullet. It's hard sometimes to make an effect that hasn't been used on another card.

Ah gotcha. So is PLP just a 1e version of Final Cry? lol

Oh I just noticed:
When your [TOS] personnel begins a mission attempt at this mission, if there are no non-[TOS] personnel present, you may discard an interrupt from hand.
What is the purpose of that? Why would you want to discard an interrupt in a mission attempt?

Good call on that one. That was meant to be the cost.

Gotcha. So looking at it now, could you simplify it to just "exclude [TOS] Security"? I don't play TOS enough yet to know if non-TOS, non-aligned, etc peole are that big of a concern.
Is Sedis a captain?

P'Jem Sanctuary can also DL Sopek .
