I knew after doing 1-2 Punch-Up long enough, one of the concepts I have already finished would be used in the actual game. Let’s see how the two versions stack up.

My Version: (off of Nine of Seventeen)
[Bor] 2 Multiplexor Drone
Borg
[Stf]
•Programming •Security •Transporters
Drone.
When an opponent’s ship joins an engagement involving this personnel aboard your [Bor] ship, you may stop your Security personnel present to make this ship Weapons +X where X is this ship’s Weapons. (Your ships involved must remain staffed.)
TASK: Monitor multiple threat acquisition. Target.
INTEGRITY 5 CUNNING 5 STRENGTH 5

The Continuing Committee’s Version:
[Bor] 3 •Nine of Seventeen
Multiplexor Drone
Borg
[Stf]
•Engineer •Programming •Transporters
Drone.
When you win an engagement involving this personnel, the opponent on your left must place the top card of his or her dilemma pile beneath your mission worth 50 or more points.
TASK: Monitor multiple threat acquisition. Target.
INTEGRITY 5 CUNNING 5 STRENGTH 5
40 V 27

Notes:
Mine was an attempt to replicate the original intent of the Multiplexor Drone, but when most people don’t play with Render Assistance, he sort of loses his usefulness. The final version trades Engineer for Security and adds a point of cost, but gives a nice incentive to go out and assimilate an opponent’s personnel the old-fashioned way. Obviously, the lores and attributes are spot on. There are some traditions that Creative likes and some they seem to rebel against.
