Welcome to Fill in the Blank Season 2: Chain of Command!

Each week whomever has the most free time will post the collector’s information for one of the cards in the set’s cardlist. Contestants are free to create whatever card they see fit for that slot in the cardlist, keeping in mind the surrounding cards. As the contest progresses, the cardlist will become more and more defined, guiding the contests’ choices.

The theme of our set is Chain of Command. Not every card has to fit the theme, of course, but it’s something to keep in mind when voting. Speaking of voting, as per normal each contestant will vote for one of the previous week’s entries (with the exception that the contest runner will vote ONLY in the case of a tie).

This week’s winner is… Danny!

Entry A wrote: [S] 2 Conflicting Orders

Unless you have more [Stf] than [Cmd] personnel, or exactly one personnel with Leadership or Officer, randomly select three personnel to be stopped. For each of those personnel that has a [Cmd], randomly select a card from hand to be placed on top of your deck.

"Mr. Data, you were ordered to rendezvous with the fleet at Gamma Eridon. Acknowledge."
"Stand by, captain. Mr. Hobson, prepare to fire."

Entry B wrote: [S] 2 Mutiny
Your Commanders aboard their corresponding ship are stopped. Unless you have total Integrity on your Honour personnel > total Cunning and Strength on your Treachery personnel, randomly select a Commander, [Cmd] personnel, or Leadership personnel to be killed, then all your other personnel are stopped.
"Mutiny on a Federation starship? That's shocking. It's unthinkable. And yet you've never mentioned it."

Entry D wrote: [D] (12) Fatal Greeting

Unless you have Biology, Physics, and Science or Astrometrics, Treachery, and Cunning>32, your opponent places this dilemma on a [S] mission you command; that mission loses [S] and gains [P]. At the start of your turn, if any player commands a completed [S] mission, or you command no [S] missions, you may remove this dilemma from the game.
Entry F wrote: [S] (2) Obsessive Behavior

Whew! Gooey Chewie doesn't get nearly enough credit for his labours! If I've made any errors, let me know.

Some suggestions:

1) Don't bother randomizing the entries; if anyone is really interested they can just read the prior thread to find out who created which card anyways. It just makes for a hassle when copy-pasting.

2) Rather than reposting the cardlist each time, create a google doc that can be updated with each winning entry in sequence.

To play this personnel, you must command Mouth of the Wormhole.
While your [TN] personnel present is facing a dilemma, you may remove this personnel from the game to replace the gametext on that dilemma with the gametext of an opponent's dilemma of the same type that has been removed from the game. This effect lasts until the end of that dilemma.

Integrity: 5, Cunning: 7, Strength: 7

Notes: Thought it would be fun to use the newish Terok Nor theme of removing dilemmas from the game as a way to help them facing dilemmas. Facing a dilemma with requirements you can't meet, or an effect you don't really want to face? Why not replace it with something you're better prepared for! Name is from a name generator.

All the Best,

Mattgomery Scott.

Only one Vorta was demonstrated using telekinesis: Eris. As the DS9 writing staff put more thought into the Vorta following their initial appearance in "The Jem'Hadar", telekinesis was discarded and deemed a misstep that the writing team hoped viewers would forget. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion, p. 155) Ronald D. Moore stated, "Our internal rationale has been that Eris was given this ability for a specific purpose by the Founders (and maybe several other Vorta along with her) and that it is not a normal part of the Vorta 'recipe' in the Dominion." (AOL chat, 1998)
