It is time to host my own online tournament in order to give beginners, learners, and returners (like me) a possibility to test some deck(s), getting back to the game, learn/take the rules, and improve their skills. Furthermore, due to the huge differences on time zones I like to widen the round lenghts a bit.

This tournament is especially for newcomers and returners who would like to get some gaming eperience AND who would like to have the chance to integrate deck improvements for the next round! I do speak out of my own experience. It is really unsatisfying when you need to continue with a deck even though you know how to improve it.
So, deck changes and improvements are explicitly welcomed!
(Though, this means you will not get any achievements nor any calculations for the score in this tournament!)

But also experienced players are welcomed (and are kindly asked to join)! You can try out some of your decks ideas AND you can help the community grow and improve! I kindly ask you to help new and returning players with rules and maybe also give them some advices for their decks. In the past I was very welcomed (thank you all for this, btw) and I want to give other new players to experience the same chance.

There will be also some prizes from my personal collection!

1st Place: Kivas Fajo Collector (Decipher Promotional FOIL) + 5 Rares
2nd Place: The Motion Pictures Common/Uncommon Set + 5 Rares
3rd Place: Alternate Universe Common/Uncommon Set + 5 Rares

There will be also some random prizes for any other participator (if any).

If we have more than 8 players, I will add a 4th round.

1st Round starts on Saturday, 1st March 2014 and results are due on 15th March
2nd Round starts on Saturday, 15th March 2014 and results are due on 29th March
3rd Round starts on Saturday, 29th March 2014 and results are due on 12th April

You can join the tournament here: https://www.trekcc.org/tournament/index ... entID=6497

Thank you for participating!

I think I might enlist... have been looking for quiet some time now to get acquainted with Lackey, but never really got to it.

What joy! 2 Players, none of which knows how to use lackey, try to play a complicated game of STCCG 1E :-D

Hey Niall :D

LOL ... would be awesome to play you again after a long time (so my feeling). Last game was on Worlds '13 ... I am hearing your Klingon-Roar right now in my dreams :cross:

What about the way you want to teach me? By getting crazy to play me without rule lakes and showing Dilemmas before Game-Start and discarding physical Dilemmas like on LackeyCCG LOL [Kli] *HoHahowHaw* [Kli]

:cheersL:

You love it when I roar at you

Obviously that is one of the rules of the game too.

You also have to show me your hand, deck, Tent etc

So, the tournament page has me a little confused: it says players build their own decks (Constructed format), but then it says "Deck Lottery - Play a random deck each round." How are these two things compatible? And what does this mean I should keep in mind when building/testing a deck that I plan to use in the tournament?
