Introduction |
Six people participated in the tournament, so we had a pretty good turnout. |
|
Round 1 | | Dean Lyon | FW (0) |
Dean was playing Maquis, and an early Shankar slowed me down. Then Evek completely whiffed. Unfortunately for him, Where No One Has Gone Before slowed him down just as much; and a timely The Central Command against Chula: The Precipice gave me the win after Dean had some terrible luck with random selections. |

Round 2 | | mike gillespie | FW (0) |
Mike was playing Bajoran resistance and was able to get 30 easy points from Arena followed by Just Like Old Times. I was also able to get some easy points after The Central Command made a fool of Personal Duty. Down 70-60, Mike started his second mission attempt. I had 3 personnel in my discard pile with 12 icons total (4 each), and 2 Prison Compounds in my hand. I played Inequitable Exchange, getting Jo'Bril (5 icons), and Back to Basics. On my turn I played both Prison Compounds to score 15 points each for the win. |

Round 3 | | Kyle Matusevic | FW (0) |
Kyle was playing Bajoran integrity. Going second I used Historical Research to download greasy Dukat -- putting a significant monkey wrench into his plans. On my first mission attempt, Kyle threw only Gomtuu Shock Wave. The Central Command brushed that dilemma aside, drawing a chorus of boos from Mike and Kyle with promises of Swashbuckler at Heart next time. After Kyle's miss on his second mission, I played two Ensnareds -- grabbing Emissary Sisko and Bareil. After that, Kyle had to make up some ground and took some risks with dilemmas. It didn't work out for him. Afterward, Mike, Kyle, Matthew, and myself went to Sweet Bones BBQ. Mike offered me my first fried green tomatoes experience, and I was very pleased. Kyle, Matthew, and myself made plans for tomorrow to travel to Atlanta to play in a tournament with a new group. |
