Corbin Johnson (Corbinq27) Tournament Report - 1E Open - Risa Regional 2012-06-03 - 12:00 PM My Block deck that does not use Continuing Mission (Open style) Introduction I showed up expecting a lot more people! Jeremy offered up some kick ass prizes for this regional. Personally, I walked away with a borg queen shirt, a sealed Bariel of Borg EFC (With the 4 FC packs), a Captains Log pack (with an issue of trust inside), a WYLB pack (with Gorkon), a $25 gift card to iTunes, and a ton of foils and buttons! AWESOME STUFF! Thanks Jeremy for making this a very fun tournament. I played Starfleet. They suck in block but I didn't want to use continuing mission. They are still somewhat fun to play however so I had a good time. Round 1 Rich Joakimson FL (-10) Rich brought some angry klingons. However, a well timed clearing of one of his missions by him allowed me to swoop in to steal his mission for 25 points (with a well timed TMWing of Koral to my ship). He later solved a mission for 35 points and then we both decked. Full win for Rich and that was that! He blew up a bunch of my ships even with a straight and steady, Ablative Armor and Tactic deck full of +defense cards. Round 2 Mike FL (-85) Mike won the game and I believe I had only solved one mission. He was able to do a three mission win with Pagh points from hitting my drone ship (in retrospect, with officer's exchange program out, I should have simply tried to avoid getting those draws). I solved one mission luckily and managed to avoid getting blown up. He simply was able to draw and play more cards than me. Round 3 Ian Moore FW (+100) Finally, another player not playing with continuing mission! His creative deck mixed augments with all the block available Klingons. He was also jonesing to get some pagh points but I decided to play it safe with my drone. Ian seemed hesitant to interact with me or solve his own missions. This may have cost him the game. I was able to solve three missions before he was able to solve one. I also stole one of his missions far away from his guys for a late game win. Still a good game though!
