Welcome Back, Spotlight Series!

One of the very first series of articles ever produced by the Continuing Committee was the Spotlight Series.  Each week the CC would focus on a single affiliation, looking at its strengths and weaknesses, producing contests and discussing favorite episodes.  To celebrate the CC’s 10^th Anniversary, we have revamped some of the old types of articles and have planned some new things as well.  Most importantly, we’re including content for both First Edition and Second Edition.  Let’s take a look at some of the specifics:

• Chairman and acting First Edition Brand Manager Charlie Plaine (MidnightLich) will be producing articles about affiliation flavor and design for both First Edition and Second Edition.
• Vice Chairman Maggie Geppert (jadziadax8) will be exploring decks for new players of First Edition and Second Edition.  Follow along as she relearns 1E after a 15 year absence from the game!
• Second Edition Brand Manager Ross Fertel (Faithful Reader) has a special series dissecting Second Edition virtual expansions, theming them with the affiliation of the week.
• The Top 5 series will make its return, this time on YouTube.  Players from the community will be interviewed about their Top 5 for each affiliation for both First Edition and Second Edition.
• More articles from guest writers.  Please PM Maggie if you’re interested in contributing an article for a particular affiliation.  We’d especially love to see analysis of decks above the beginner level, but anything is welcome.
• Contests!

Please follow along with us on weeks where there are no spoilers for new sets.  We hope you’ll be as excited about this revival as we are.
