Welcome to the Wednesday 1E Roundup, a weekly column looking back at the past week in the world of First Edition as well as a preview of the week ahead. Mea Culpa
Last week, this column did not get published for the simple reason that the author forgot about it until it was too late. Forming new habits take time, and mine was disrupted by last Monday being a holiday. I apologize! I've put a weekly calendar entry into my phone so it'll remind me to write these every Monday moving forward.

The Big News
Tournament promo series N has been revealed, and is now available for requisition via the Promenade! Anyone that has run a tournament in the past six months can order a kit, and give away some of these great looking promo cards at their upcoming tournaments. Full details are in the article, but for your reference here's the full list of promos in series N:

This series of promos is based around the recent 25th anniversary of Deep Space 9, with each of the main characters from the premiere of the show. These promos will be available in tournament kits through the end of June 2019. Oh, and we hope you're excited about a foil site in Quark's Bar! Expect to see a site or two in upcoming promo series.

Tournament Reports
We've got two weeks of tournaments to look back to in this week's report, so let's get right two it. On Tuesday, January 15th, four players gathered in Concord, California for three rounds of Open Constructed. Unfortunately, there aren't any deck lists, but John Andrews (starfleetsfinest) went undefeated with two full wins and a modified win. We'd love to see deck lists or, at the least, affiliation break downs, so hopefully John, Rick, Brandon, or Frank will let us know what they played.

A few days later and several hours north, in Seattle, Washington, four players played OTF Constructed and ended up with a three-way tie at the top. Both Michael Van Breemen (The Ninja Scot) and ultimate winner Richard DeLashmit (benericardus) were playing Delta Quadrant Federation decks using Full Complement of Shuttles, while runner-up Justin Ford (Resistance-is-futile) played Borg. You can take a look at Richard's winning deck and see if there is anything you'd like to try in the future.

That covers two weeks ago, so now we can cover the three tournaments that took place this most recent weekend. First of the three was a T2E Tough Enough league event in Roseville, Minnesota that saw our Director of Organized Play, Kris Sonsteby (LORE) emerged victorious in the four-player field. Kris was playing [KCA], though his deck isn't posted at the time this article was written. Second place was a [Fed] These Are the Voyages deck taking advantage of the Starfleet holograms. Federation cadets took third, and a fun-looking deck from Robert Petereson called "Jemmie Spam" took the fourth place.

That evening, in Eden, New York, Robin Honeycutt (robin1234) extended his winning streak to forty-eight (48) games, emerging on top of the four player field with a Deep Space Nine Maquis deck. Second place was a [OS] [Fed] piloted by Mark Panna (Shambinks); it'll be interesting to see how the upcoming Project Delenn will impact the deck. Third and fourth places were rounded out by Janice and Tyler, who hadn't posted their decks at the time of this write up.

Finally, on Sunday the 27th in Richmond, Virginia, Austin Chander (DarkSabre) won his tournament on his home terf with a Kazon deck with the fantastically punny title Kami Kami Kami Kami Kamikazons. Second place belongs to a Starfleet deck played by Phil Schrader, with Ben Hosp in third with a Non-Aligned deck. One of Austin's children, Avraham Tzvi Chandler, played a [Fed] deck, even taking down dad in the first round! If you're looking for a deck for your own next generation of players, you might consider Romantic Cadet Shuttles for Two.

Tournament Previews
While there are no First Edition tournaments scheduled for this coming weekend, two online events have recently kicked off. First of all, Thomas Kamuria (bosskamuria) continues his popular Invitation Series with an OTF Constructed event. TK's event shows nine (9) players pre-registered, and we'll keep checking in on this event as it progresses throughout the month.

Meanwhile, Director of Communications Daniel Matteson (OKCoyote) is hosting a new online tournament series of sealed events. The first, PaQ AttaQ, focuses on the original few First Edition products. Five players are currently building decks and preparing to square off in this event. As with TK's, we'll check back in regularly to see how this event is going.

Our first major championship event of the year will be a Trek Masters Series event called Manassters 2, taking place on Sunday, March 3rd in Manassas Park, VA. With just over a month to go, the event currently sports nine (9) preregistered players! We'll keep you updated on this, and future championship events, as the season unfolds.
