It's been six (6) weeks, ten (10) polls, and sixty-three (63) head-to-head matches to get to this point. The two cards that have won match after match were presented to you and you were invited to crown the winner. With ninety-four (94) of you voting, which card reigns supreme in March Madness 2021?
In the red corner, we have Holoprogram: Loyalty Test. From Deep Space Nine's "Inquisition", this #12 seed fought through all of the other DS9 cards and took out the TNG champion to earn the place in the final. In the blue corner, we have the Fast Rotating Planet, a #15 seed from the Voyager bracket that took out the Enterprise champion to earn this championship game berth. And, by a margin of just six (6) votes, the Fast Rotating Planet (15) eliminated Holoprogram: Loyalty Test (12) to become the March Madness 2021 Champion. This means that the Fast Rotating Planet will end up in a design file, sooner rather than later, and it's all thanks to your votes.
Now, to the fun part: giving away some borderless promos. We had over one thousand entries across the ten polls of this competition, which is an incredible response. It's such a good response that I've been given permission to add an extra promo to the rewards, meaning that four (4) of you are getting one of these gorgeous cards sent your way. Our winners are:
But wait... there's more. I'm so happy, so thrilled, and so excited at this turnout that I've decided to add in an extra set of consolation prizes. From my personal stash of virtual promos - sadly, not borderless - I've drawn nine (9) extra winners to get a bonus prize. Please go check your emails from one from me - cplaine AT gmail DOT com. If you didn't get one, then alas, you did not win... this time. Please stay tuned, because we'll be giving more out all year.
That's a wrap on March Madness 2021. I hope you've enjoyed participating as much as I've enjoyed running this. And according to our exit poll, over 90% of you want to do something very similar to this next year. So odds are good that we'll see you back in 2022 with more card ideas and more March Madness. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your votes, your discussions, and your participation.
