by Charlie Plaine, Director of First Edition

13th April 2022

Ladies, gentlemen, non-binary friends, and assorted sentients of the galaxy: we have arrived at the finish line. The 4th First Edition March Madness has drawn to a close, and in short order we'll be adding a new card to an upcoming design project. Let's not delay any further and get right into the result!

Championship
In a back and forth match, Section 31 Recruitment (1) takes out Transporter Duplication (1) to win the championship, 49-44.

Congratulations to Section 31 Recruitment from DS9's "Inquisition" as the winning card concept in the 2022 March Madness! If you'd like to visualize and look over all of the results, we'll keep this Results Bracket up for your review.

Over the entire competition, we've had a total of 144 unique users vote across all 10 polls. And now, I have the honor of giving away some borderless promos. And the winners of the bonus virtual promos are:

I did my best with the names based on your emails, if I didn't know your name outright. Congrats to all 13 of our winners! Later today, please check your emails for one from cplaine AT gmail DOT com confirming your win. And with that, March Madness 2022 is official over. I hope you've enjoyed participating in this process of deciding a new card to add to 1E. Many of you indicated a preference and a desire to see this format return for 2023. While I don't know what the future will hold, I hope that we'll all be back together again for this next year. Thank you, and live long and prosper.
