European Continentals were run the weekend fo August 16th, 2024. We ran a draft to see if anyone could correctly predict what would be played. Let's take a look at the decks and see if anyone got a perfect slate!
We'll start with a couple Federation Next Generation decks. Peter Ludwig's Goenndalf der Blaue goes in the romantic route with Holoprogram: Cafe des Artistes and the ready made couple of Sergey and Helena. Nikolai Rozhelko is there as well, leaving out Worf from the family picture. The deck also counts on “We Are the Metrons” for protection from battle. Check out the deck in action here! Julius Melhard would go in a different direction with Benjamin the Beast - for the Kaiser. Know your Enemy is there along with a good amount of the personnel from Showdown: Four Lights. This is a good update of that side of the deck without the Objectives to achieve the win. Check out the deck in action here! Moving onto the series Deep Space Nine, Florian's For the Alliance brings the Battle Bridge Door: Auxiliary Control though the deck does not take advantage of the multiple affiliations offered by the Alliance in terms of the ships; most of the Tactics are generic though they will help to keep the personnel on the opponents side in check. The deck uses not one but two homeworlds … in two different quadrants. Check out the deck in action here! One big happy family takes advantage of Dogs of War including Alliance with the Son'a. The title card of the deck is ironic, but with four hand weapons, two of which are rifles, along with Awaiting Trial, it may be your opponent who is frowning. Starfleet would come into play with ECC Starfleet Jan.S 2024 by Jan.S. There are seven Ready Room Door's for the ten Captain's Orders found in the deck, specifically the seven in Q's Tent. There are over a half dozen non-aligned personnel to help fill things out. The day would ultimately go to Stefan Slaby with a Nightmare Handjob, monstrous deck of over one hundred fifty cards! Hopefully you go first in this game because it is built to drain your hand in no time. If it were possible to put a hand in the negative, this deck would do it consistently! The rest is Next Generation Borg taking advantage of Consume cards not needing a probe to complete. You saw this deck in all three videos above. Looking at the draft, no one picked a prefect slate. We'll see what happens at Worlds this weekend. Remember there is a Global Chair's Challenge involved as well! If you cannot make it to Worlds, Brian Sykes is running an online event! Thanks to Kaiser for getting videos from the event, including a couple from a Rainbow Sealed side event. Be sure to subscribe for more great content! Speaking of videos, it might not be a bad idea to keep an eye on the Committee page over the Worlds weekend …. Discuss this article in this thread.
