Updating Your Address

by Chris Lobban, Chief Programmer

20th May 2009

As Darren has referred to several times in recent articles, The Continuing Committee is currently reviewing and upgrading processes for shipping, as well as catching up on all of the backlog currently outstanding. To help us do this, it's important that you make sure we have an accurate shipping address in the system for your account. Even if you're not necessarily expecting to receive a shipment from us, you might be getting one anyway. For example, if you attended a Regional that didn't receive its prize support on time, the prizes might be shipped directly to your house to make sure that they get to you.

So, here's a quick primer on how you can make sure we have a correct shipping address for you.

First, update your address in the tournament system. To do this, go to this webpage and make sure to update your address there. Don't forget to include your country, as the shipment could be coming from out of the country. Also, make sure that your real name is entered in the appropriate field on this page, as that will also appear on the envelope.

Second, if you have any outstanding store orders, you'll need to verify that the shipping address there is also correct. Go to the list of your orders, and if you have any orders in "Processing" or "Pending Payment" status, click on the order number to bring up the details screen. There you'll see the current shipping address assigned to the order, with an "Edit Address" link beneath it. This will allow you to update the address manually if you need to.

Once you've got all of this updated, it will allow us to manage the shipments of new orders as quickly and seemlessly as possible. Also, to help us keep track of orders, while you're on a page with a list of your orders, if you have any orders currently showing as "Shipped," don't forget to flag them as "Complete" once you've received them. That way we know that the system is working and people are getting their shipments.
