TCC Recruiting Two New Department Heads

In order to better address the needs of the community, The Continuing Committee is undergoing a reorginazation in an effort to better manage volunteer time and ensure high-quality products. In addition, volunteers have had to step down due to personal commitments, and their positions need to be filled.

Director of Organized Play
This individual is responsible for the entire Department of Organized Play for all three supported games (1E, 2E, Tribbles). He or she would be a full member of The Continuing Committee and report directly to The Chairman. This individual will lead a group of volunteers in managing the scheduling and planning of low-level and high-level events. In addition, the Director of Organized Play is responsible for innovating new event formats, gauging player response, and is the final arbiter of any tournament issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the Organized Play Guide, Code of Conduct, and other official documentation for all games.
• Follow up with Continental Coordinators regarding disputes and Organized Play issues.
• Plan, schedule, and execute high-level tournament events.
• Identify player interest in new and alternative formats for events, and develop new options for tournament formats as interest dictates.
• Participate in community discussions and answer procedural questions regarding tournament play.

Marketing Director
This individual is responsible for marketing the products of The Continuing Committee as well as shaping the brand identity for all of the supported games. He or she is a full member of The Continuing Committee and would report directly to The Chairman. This individual will lead a group of volunteers in managing the flow of information from TCC to the public, both via the main website and through other outlets. In addition, the Marketing Director is responsible for increasing the profile and awareness of TCC while minimizing the required financial cost.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Produce regular content both for the official site and other outlets.
• Design a release plan for all upcoming products (virtual expansions, etc.)
• Ensure that all materials distributed share the correct "branding."
• Develop long-term "marketing campaigns" to advertise and promote our existence and activities.
• Maintain financial responsibility (keep profits up and costs down.)
