I Feel Validated

In 2012, the Assimilate power came out in the Nothing But Tribble set. It has been a niche strategy since then, since it only exists at the 10k and 100k power. It's difficult to take cards from your opponent's deck when you need to play it at those higher denominations. In Bad Brood Rising, we now have two new denominations for Assimilate, 1 and 100, so there's a lot more potential assimilation out there.

It's always been nice to pair Assimilate with IDIC, because you never know what you'll get from your opponents. However, now we have a new power that is designed to take your assimilation to a whole new level, Validate.

At the end of the round, score 10,000 points for each different tribble in your play pile that you do not own (not cumulative with other 10 Validate tribbles in your play pile).

Now you don't need different powers to score extra points when you go out. You just need to grab as many of your opponents cards as possible. They are also perfectly placed at the 10 and 1000 denominations so you never need to choose between assimilation and validation. The deck attached to this article uses both IDIC and Validate to complement my assimilation strategy.
