30th Anniversary T-Shirt Design Content
by Charlie Plaine, Director of First Edition
7th March 2025
As part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations, we are looking to have a new T-Shirt designed for The Continuing Committee. Our last custom T-Shirt was made in 2018, so we're well overdue for a new one, and what better time than the 30th Anniversary to get one made? And we want to pick one of your art submissions as our new design!
Here is an outline of what we're looking for:
- T-Shirts may feature both a front and a back, but it's not required to have both sides.
- Art for the front of the shirt must be a single piece of art.
- Similarly, art from the back of the shirt must be a single piece of art.
- The shirt must feature the Continuing Committee logo visibly in the design.
- The shirt must feature the URL trekcc.org visibly in the design.
- The design of the shirt should celebrate the longevity of Star Trek.
You are free to create any design you like; however, if you're looking for inspiration, here are the 2 previous shirts designed and made by The Continuing Committee:
10th Anniversary - November 2017. Graphite Heather colored fabric. The front features the TCC logo over the left chest, with the text "2007 X 2017" below the logo, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the CC. On the back is a word-art graphic in the shape of the classic Star Trek chevron. The quote is: "Speak for yourself sir, I plan to live forever."
Ambassador Tour - February 2019. Black colored fabric. The front features the TCC logo with the word "Ambassador." below it, styled like a keyword on a Second Edition card. The back is modeled like a tour shirt, showing all of the Trek CC regions as if the were stops on a rock band tour.
You'll have 8 weeks to design and submit your shirts. Once the submission period is closed, our panel of judges will go through all the submission and chose 2 or 3 of their favorites. Then, all of you will be asked to vote on your favorite design. The winning design will be turned into a T-shirt and made available for everyone to purchase! Here is our panel of judges:
- Maggie Geppert [jadziadax8]. Maggie is the Executive Officer of the Continuing Committee.
- Andrea Heywood [Kamala]. Andrea is the Tribbles Art Director and makes most of our Tribbles card art.
- Lucas Thompson [edgeofhearing]. Lucas is the Second Edition Art Director, designer, and all-around superstar.
We will be using Custom Ink to produce the final shirt designs. Participants are encouraged to use their T-Shirt Design Lab tools to make sure their art looks good on the finished product before submitting their art. The Continuing Committee is providing the First Edition game logo, the Second Edition game logo, the Continuing Committee logo, and a color style guide. However, no additional assistance will be provided by The Continuing Committee, including additional graphic resources or advice. Here is a link to a ZIP file containing the above resources:
