March Madness 2025 - Elite 8

by Charlie Plaine, Staff Writer

2nd April 2025

Welcome back to March Madness 2025! We are in the quarter finals of this game, and we're left with just 8 cards remaining. In the NCAA March Madness, the final 8 are called the "Elite 8" (in case you were wondering where that name came from!) We had an 103 entries this week, so we'll be drawing 8 names from this week's polls when we draw prizes at the end of the competition.

Let's take a look at the results from Round 3:

Sweet 16

Now, it's time to vote in the next poll:

Here is my featured match in Round 4:

Game #59: (5) Manheim's Dimensional Door vs. (7) Terraforming Station
Both Manheim's and Terraforming Station have had impressive runs in the game so far. MDD has won all 3 previous matches with an average margin of 33 votes, including knocking out the #1 seed, Canar. Terraforming has an even wider average margin of victory (43 votes). Both cards are historically very difficult to use, and this is going to be a tough vote.

Now it's up to you. Remember, you can vote in each match based on any criteria you like - the choice is literally yours. Good luck and have fun! Voting will be open until 11 AM Pacific on Monday, April 7th. And don't forget to join the discussion on our Gameplay (1E) forum to speculate on what might happen next!
