The venue for U.S. Continentals will be...drum roll please... Comfort Suites Corvallis!! 1730 NW 9th St, Corvallis, OR 97330 1 541 224 5723 https://www.choicehotels.com/oregon/corvallis/comfort-suites-hotels/or077?mc=llyxyxpx

The dates are Friday and Saturday August 1st and 2nd. It's the weekend of Gencon but the next weekend is Star Trek Las Vegas and the weekend after that is Worlds which I was told is kind of a deadline for Continentals.Group Name: Star Trek Game Players 2025
Group Number:EF62Q1 This is a very nice hotel with a pool, exercise room, and full breakfast included. It has a dining room and a lobby and is centrally located for anything you might need.
It is also next door to Best Western Corvallis and an Econolodge if you are more budget-minded.There are two very good restaurants are across the street: Pastini's and El Sol De Mexico. For groceries there is a Trader Joes next door and my personal favorite Market of Choice a block away. There is also a CVS, Safeway, and Natural Grocers within a half mile. For fast food I would recommend Burgerville near the hotel, or Local BoyzHawaiian Cafe if you want to hobnob with the students.
The bars are all downtown about a mile away. I recommend the Crow Bar (if you can find it), Block 15, Squirrel's, and if you want a pool game, karaoke, and quite possibly a bar fight, The Peacock. The town is pretty empty during the summer, so you'll have the run of the place. OSU's baseball season will be over, but the Corvallis Knights is our minor league team and plays at the Beaver's Goss Stadium. They have home games that week and the following. I live pretty close to the hotel, so I can help ferry people around town if you need it. We have an AMC theater, plus an independent cinema The Darkside, a 100-year old theater that shows old movies called The Whiteside, and a live theater venue The Majestic.
OSU also holds concerts and movies at a new complex called The PRAx. If you want to sightsee away from Corvallis a little bit, the coast is my highest recommendation. Newport is about 45 minutes from Corvallis and is quite a stunning view of the Pacific. Waldport has some good seafood if you want to drive down the coast a little (or the casino in Lincoln City driving up it). Wine country is to the north of Corvallis if you want to drive up Oregon Route 99 and hunt down some good wineries (and one olive oil vineyard).
For those Midwesterners who might be coming please keep in mind Oregon is VERY big and certain destinations are out of reach for a day trip. The Goonies house for instance is a two day trip from Corvallis, but the town where Stand By Me was filmed (Brownsville) is just down I-5 about ten minutes. Portland, Salem, and Eugene are all close by and pretty easy to access. Bend, Crater Lake, Pendleton, and the John Day Fossil Beds are not. If there are any recommendations or questions please feel free to PM me.
I look forward to seeing all of you! P.S. For those of you who were at Worlds in San Francisco last year and remember Trek Barnes' protowarp draft, he has confirmed attendance with me and will be bringing the draft again. Oh yeah, and don't forget, I am the shipping manager. So I will have bookoodles of prize support from the CC and also my personal collection of Trek stuff. This will include rare Decipher cards, posters, pins, comics, and anything else I can dig up from my Trek treasure trove. It's a lot!
