Michael Van Breemen Joins Organized Play Team

Today we are proud to announce that Michael Van Breemen [The Ninja Scot] has accepted the position of North American Continental Coordinator. Michael will begin working immediately and will work for the next few months with David Kuck, the current NA Coordinator, to ensure a smooth transition. We want to thank David again for being willing to stay on board to provide continuity before he retires from the position next year. We're very happy Michael has accepted the position, which is going to be a lot of (often thankless) hard work. Here's what Michael had to say about his selection:

I wasn't expecting to ever write this kind of paragraph. I'm excited, surprised and looking forward to everything that this job entails. I'd like to thank Matthyas, Charlie, Dave, Thomas and Steve for letting me have the opportunity to be a part of Organized Play.

With Nationals, Masters, Regionals, Continentals coming down the pipeline over the next year, I think that there's a lot of exciting things ahead for Organized Play and I'm glad that I'm going to be a part of it... and now in more ways than one!

I hope to keep things running smoothly and to see how I and the Organized Play team can do our best to maintain and improve Organized Play in North America along with the rest of the world.

Michael emerged as the top candidate from a very talented pool of applicants, any one of which would have been a good fit for this position. We appreciate the hard work and effort of everyone that applied, but felt that Michael's drive, passion, and experience would make him the ideal choice for this position moving forward. We look forward to seeing what he'll do as part of the OP team. Welcome aboard, Michael!
