Temporal Incursions are Forever

by Kevin Jaeger, Staff Writer

23rd June 2008

“Begin recording, Moneypenny.  Mr. James T. Kirk (Highly-Decorated Captain), your mission is simple: you must enlist the help of an old friend and his new ally Altovar (Vindictive Criminal) to destroy the current meta-game which has been currently working without enough event destruction or dilemma prevention.

Contained within your mission packet is a complete dossier including step-by-step direction on how to execute your instructions.

Mission Dossier

  1. Team leader: Use your upgrade to download Leonard H. McCoy (Chief Medical Officer) and his mirror counterpart Leonard H. McCoy (Fiendish Physician). They are your best friends and right hand men.  They get it done.
  2. A new ally: Enlist the help of Altovar.  He works with McCoy to get it done.
  3. Stay Optimistic:  Play Optimism and use it to place copies of all your personnel into the discard pile.  Wash, rinse and repeat.  Do it so much your opponent gets bored and annoyed into conceding the game.
  4. Let McCoy work his magic:  once you’ve one or two drop stopped the enemy, you can use him to get those dilemmas back.
  5. Déjà vu is your friend:  Play Temporal Incursion.  Use it nearly every time your opponent attempts a mission.  Your enemy should become incredibly frustrated and annoyed when they keep facing the same dilemma over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
  6. While Altovar and McCoy are working their magic, you can lead the rest of your team while they complete three missions.
  7. If you encounter any resistance from your enemy’s events, you can use your transportation, the U.S.S. Reliant (Searching for Lifeless Planets) to destroy them.
  8. Track your dilemmas: your deck will only work if you are deliberate about tracking where your dilemmas are located in your dilemma pile.
  9. Mission support: If necessary, you can use your copy of Find Lifeless World to feed your Back to Basics.

If you follow the mission dossier precisely, you have a better than 50% chance of success.

Good Luck.
