2016 German Second Edition Championships

by Thomas Schneider, European OP Coordinator

20th March 2016

Regional season is about to start and so one of the most traditional Second Edition National Championship is about to return. Since the early days of Second Edition, the German players (as well as occasional guest from South Africa and other countries) gather in Kassel in June to figure out who is worthy to be crowned the Germany 2E champion! Join us this year on the 18th and 19th of June at the CVJM in Kassel to be part of this tradition!

With a Regional on Saturday and the German Championships on Sunday the weekend offers two high level events to refine your decks (and playing skills) for the upcoming Continental Championships in Vienna and the World Championships in London. Not to mention two of the last chances for an Earned Bye for Second Edition Continentals in Vienna! In addition, the Regional winner will also receive an Earned Bye for the German Nationals on the next day.

Both tournaments will be 5 rounds of Standard Constructed Second Edition and start at 11 AM. For players traveling by train, the CVJM is within walking distance from Kassel Hauptbahnhof. The Stadthotel Kassel is literally next door, in case you need a place to stay.

If you have any questions or need help planing your trip, just post on the Message Board or send a PM to thsch.
