Kevin Jaeger started playing in Day 1 just like every other player - by shuffling his deck, then his dilemma pile, shaking his opponent's hand, and starting the game. Eight rounds, four matches, and almost thirty-six hours later, Kevin shook the hand of Johannes Klarhauser and became the 2008 Second Edition World Champion.
Meanwhile, Top 16 player Michael van Breemen survived three rounds of seed cards, referee-icon cards, and downloads to become the 2008 First Edition World Champion!
Congrats to both Kevin and Michael, as well as head judges Michael Keller and Jeremy Commandeur for spectacular performances and amazing events! Stay tuned for more coverage, photos, videos and tournament reports as the dust settles.
Meanwhile, have you started making plans for your trip to GenCon 2009? It's only fifty-two weeks away...
