2019 Continentals Update

by Michael Shea, Chief Ambassador

24th February 2019

Hello all.

This is an update for all those considering traveling to the 2019 North American Continentals.

The events will be held at the JW Marriott Buckhead. The address is 3300 Lenox Road NE; Atlanta, GA; 30326-1333. For those traveling from out of state by car, it’s just off of Exit 2 of GA 400 North.

For those considering flying in to Atlanta, it’s just a few blocks walk from the Red Line on the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority’s Red Line Train – about a 30-45-minute train ride from Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. The hotel is within walking distance of Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza – two of Atlanta’s premier shopping areas. There are tons of restaurants nearby to suit nearly any taste. Rooms with two double beds range from 211 to 239 per night at the JW Marriott, which is affordable if split 4-ways.

However, if you need other, less expensive options, the city has plenty. Let me know if you need help finding accommodations other than the JW Marriott.

Visit here to book rooms.

The First Edition main event will be held on Sunday, June 23rd. Register here.

The TD for the main event, Ryan Sutton, is driving in from Tennessee specially to run this event. You may feel free to discuss travel plans and other arrangements here.

The Second Edition Day 1 and Day 2 events will be held on Saturday, June 22nd. Register for Day 1 here.

Unless otherwise noted, I'll be running the Second Edition events. You may feel free to discuss travel plans and other arrangements here.

While pre-registration isn't required, it's highly appreciated as it helps us plan and budget more accurately.

Tribbles has yet to be determined but will most likely be one of those two nights depending on how pre-registration looks. Stay tuned for an update here - I'm trying to keep this event flexible to accommodate as many travelers as possible. So, let us know your plans!

There will also be ample side events happening throughout the weekend. If you plan on traveling and you have interest in a particular side event for 1E or 2E, let me know, and we'll do our best to accommodate those requests as we can.

I and the rest of the Atlanta group are honored to host you all once again. We look forward to seeing you in June!
