For a cost of one, you get the usual trappings of a Leeta card minus her status as a Dabo Girl. That only makes sense though, as by this time in the Deep Space 9 storyline, she had given up her eye candy employment to follow Rom to Ferenginar as Grand Nagus. You do get a Ferengi-affiliation personnel with a Deep Space 9 icon, bringing the number of such personnel you could have in play to four; the Dabo deck is easier to get started now.
It's the rest of her that makes her useable though. Her Integrity of six will help you with lots of good dilemmas, her Honor is in short supply with the Ferengi affiliation, and her cost of one will offset many of the good three-cost Ferengi personnel. Heck, she even has a staffing icon. Her gametext is where she really shines, however. If she is randomly selected, you can put a card under Ferenginar... a card such as an equipment to use with Gaila, or a Rule card for use with Reyga, or even a key personnel (or skill) you need to get into play next turn via Ishka and Rule #6.
She doesn't create any new strategies on her own, but she does do a decent job of furthering other strategies. You could say she is devoted to helping Gaila, Reyga and Ishka.
M'PELLA (Seductive Employee)Now there's a picture of a party girl. She doesn't want you to be alone. She wants to join you. In Nagal residences and on away missions. She wants to be chosen.
Like every good party girl, she seemingly parties best with other women. When she parties with Ishka, you can set up the number and be prepared for certain particularly-nasty, popular dilemmas like Chula:The Chandra and Old Differences. If you can get a skill on her such as Honor or Leadership, you can greatly increase your chances of her being selected to then prevent the dilemma. I know a lot of decks that would love to have M'Pella prevent and overcome An Issue of Trust or Personal Duty. I also know a few headquarters that would like to have more protection against Moral Choice.
So how do you go about setting up M'Pella to 'party hardy'? As I mentioned above, Ishka does the job and is the obvious choice. Some of the less obvious choices are: Alyssa Ogawa, Beverly Crusher (Chief Medical Officer), Duranja, Feast on the Dying, For the Sisko, Hikaru Sulu, Kilana (Dissembling Envoy), Lasting Peace, Lursa and/or B'Etor (Ambitious Renegades), Ocett (Dogged Rival), Odo Founder, Quantum Incursions (the best choice), Sarina Douglas, Seven of Nine (Efficient Analyst), Shinzon (Capable Commander), Souls of the Dead, Sovak, Transporter Buffer, U.S.S. Constellation, and Winn Adami (Kai of Bajor).
Unfortunately, there are no cards in This Side of Paradise that allow you to set up the top of your deck. That's okay, though, as there are plenty of good choices on the above list. The most intriguing choices to me are Quantum Incursions, Kilana, Winn Adami and Seven of Nine, as they can be utilized every turn. The later three are also female which, will make the party even better. Well, maybe Kai Winn won't, but Seven of Nine... hoo boy...hold on, I need to bite my index finger again...and then add in B'Elanna Torres (Chief Engineer)...hot chick overload! ...
...And oh yeah, she's another Dabo Girl for a Dabo deck. *yawn**sarcasm*
Now that you've seen them, which one would you choose? Personally, I'll take seduction. But why choose if you don't have to. Take a look at this deck that utilizes both of them.
