Jordan Leung is the First Edition Brand Manager

by Charlie Plaine, Chairman

20th December 2011

Several months ago, we posted a call for volunteers to take up a new, major position within The Continuing Committee - that of the Brand Manager. The Brand Manager serves as the overall project manager for their particular edition, overseeing the design and development process as well as administration of the day-to-day activities required to manage the games. Most importantly, the Brand Manager will take many responsibilities off the shoulders of the Chairman so that a) he is not so involved in every aspect of the organization and b) he can focus on his other major responsibilities.

Today, The Continuing Committee is proud to announce that Jordan Leung (FrakkinPhoenix) has accepted the position of First Edition Brand Manager and has already begun the process of taking over the 1E project management for The Continuing Committee. We asked Jordan to provide a brief bio of himself, and it's presented as follows:

"I started playing Star Trek CCG back in 1998, soon after First Contact was released. Back then I thought my Enterprise-E deck was awesome. I continued to play the game consistently for about four years before taking a few years off. I got back into the game in 2005 when I was preparing for my second GenCon. I saw that there was going to be First Edition events there, got my collection out of storage, and went crazy buying cards to flesh out my collection. I have been playing ever since and even took the World Championship in 2006. I am very excited to be able to help our community as the First Edition Brand Manager."

In addition to overseeing our new design and development process (ensuring that expansions are hitting milestones and being delivered to the Art, Creative and Rules departments on time), Jordan will be managing our volunteers, web content, and working as the First Edition liaison for all of our other departments. It's a big job, but The Continuing Committee is confident that Jordan will do a phenomenal job managing the future of First Edition.
