Second Edition February Errata Update

by Charlie Plaine, Acting Second Edition Lead Designer

6th February 2012

On Monday, February 6th, 2011, the Second Edition Design Team has released an updated Errata Document. As always, these errata take effect immediately. CRD and Errata updates are usually made on the first Monday of each month.

The Errata document is available for download via the link on the front page, or directly via http://www.trekcc.org/op/ST2EErrata.pdf. This month's errata update contains updated wordings for two cards to close rules loopholes, and restores the intended function of a third:

Once More Unto the Breach -
This card has received an erratum to remove the extremely complex interaction between itself and Kruge (Instinctive Commander). While the situation was highly unlikely, it could result in a non-trivial number of a player's personnel being "trapped" aboard an opponent's ship with very little chance of escape. This errata preserves the function of the card and eliminates the unlikely, but very complex, rules interactions.

Lustful Distraction -
This erratum now allow the card to be played properly in a Mirror Starfleet deck (without the original unintended rules interactions.)

U.S.S. Equinox (Determined to Get Home) -
The Equinox required a minor wording tweak in order to allow it (and all of the Equinox-personnel) to work with the new card play sequence outlined in the February 2012 CRD.

The Second Edition Design Team is scheduled to release an update to the Errata Document on the first Monday of each month. These errata are effective immediately.
