Today, I'm happy to announce that four (4) cards are being updated today. If you've been following along with Q Who, three of them won't come as any surprise. As I've previously announced, today's update changes the property logo on Gowron of Borg and Tomalak of Borg from the Star Trek: Customizable Card Game to Star Trek: The Next Generation. This allows these two counterparts to work in a deck, adding two new beefy personnel to the available pool for that deck.
If you've been worried about using Consume: Outpost because of The Wake of the Borg, then I have good news for you: that card has also been updated. Not only has this card lost its icon, but the effect has been updated to be less devastating - but still dangerous - to Neutral Zone decks. First of all, the card won't hurt you if you're only dabbling in the Zone. And if you do fall victim to the card, it no longer destroys everything, it only returns it to your hand. A big setback, to be sure, but one that is recoverable.
Finally, we're happy to announce that Data, Keep Dealing is coming off of the OTF Ban List with a fresh coat of paint. This card was a key piece of an infamous draw engine called Hexany that would allow players to manipulate their entire deck. The new version is designed to be fun and effective without the same power, with extra flavor added requiring a Data or a Hollander.
These errata are effectively immediately, except for online tournaments already in progress. The errata team announces changes to cards and the OTF Ban List on the first Monday of each month. The next announcement will be March 2nd, 2020.
