Nick Yankovec Resigns as Director of Second Edition

It is with great sadness that the Continuing Committee must announce the resignation of Nick Yankovec (nickyank) as the Director of Second Edition. Nick found that at this time he cannot balance his personal needs with the needs of the position and tendered his resignation.

Since Nick tendered his resignation, the Board has been working with the Team Leaders in Second Edition to decide who will serve as Interim Director and who will run the search committee for the position. Tjark Ott (tjark) was the top choice of the rest of the Second Edition team leaders to lead the Department in the interim. The Board had planned to reach out to him to ask if he would do this. However, Tjark has since resigned from the Continuing Committee, so we must move forward without his leadership in this role. Therefore, the Board has decided that Charlie Plaine (Midnightlich), the Director of First Edition, will step in to coordinate the scheduling of upcoming expansions for Second Edition. This appointment is time limited. We hope to have a new Director in place in the next sixty days.

The Board hopes that the public will be patient as we start a new search for Director of Second Edition. We encourage all interested parties to consider applying for this position. The search process and application will be announced as soon as possible.
