Several Staff Positions Now Available

As The Continuing Committee has expanded its operations and grown in size, we've found ourselves needing additional help from the community. It's especially important for us to have extra people in place that can do important jobs, in case someone should fall ill or become unavailable.

We are currently looking for five (5) members of the community to join our staff. Any member of the community that feels that they are qualified to take one of these positions is encouraged to apply. Volunteers current working in a different position are able to apply, as long as they feel the additional duties required would not interfere with existing duties. Additionally, candidates may apply for more than one position listed below; doing so will not affect your eligibility for any other position.

The deadline for the submission of applications is Sunday, March 20, 2011. However, applications will be processed and candidates considered as they are submitted, so you should apply as soon as you are able. Here is a breakdown of the open positions, as well as links to the applications:

Achievement Manager
To apply: Now Hiring: Achievement Master

The Achievement Manager will be the primary point of contact for the community regarding achievements. He or she will work with our Web Development team to address any concerns regarding "bugs" or errors in the system, and will deal with comments from users. This individual will also monitor the system for inappropriate behavior and respond appropriately. Finally, the Achievement Manager will work with our Web Development team and our Graphic Design team to create new achievements and to ensure that existing achievements are properly balanced.


Brand Managers (First Edition and Second Edition)

To apply for 2E: Now Hiring: Second Edition Brand Manager

Brand Managers will guide expansions through their workflow cycles, ensuring that deadlines are being met and that the resources required for the expansion's release are available at the right times. However, the primary work of the Brand Managers will be in managing information about the expansion leading to its release: developing spoiler schedules, coordinating with Marketing to advertise the expansion, etc.


Creative Managers (First Edition and Second Edition)

To apply for 2E: Now Hiring: Second Edition Creative Manager

The Creative Managers will jointly manage a single Creative Team, working on new First Edition or Second Edition expansions respectively. Members of the creative team will work on both editions, but the Creative Managers are asked to be experts in their edition (as each edition has different styles and traditions to respect).

However, applications will be processed and candidates considered as they are submitted, so you should apply as soon as you are able. Still, take your time on the application questions to ensure that you are giving the answers you wish to give.
