1) Ridiculous over the top shot of Chris Pine riding a motorcycle jumping over an explosion firing a phaser in each hand while “Sabotage” plays (unlikely due to IP issues)

Lotta opportunities for trek content in the “between First Contact and Enterprise” era that I hope doesn’t get missed under a pile of Old Picard and Empress Pippa Kicks People. I don’t like weed very much and weed humor is even worse, but I want to see the first time someone hands a Vulcan a blunt. (I’m assuming this is essentially Sybil’s origin story.)

I don't think rat jumping ship is quite appropriate. From comments he made a couple months ago about standing in the unemployed line, he wasn't invited back. And that doesn't surprise me at all. We know that Pike needs to be back on the Enterprise as soon as it leaves drydock, because nobody else can be captain aside from him (until Kirk's turn). So it was always a short term posting. Tom Riddle wanted the captain's chair and the admiral wouldn't give it to him, so he cursed the chair and now we need a new captain every school year. That's just the format of the show, and doesn't mean things are falling apart or rats are jumping ship or anything of the sort.
