There are many people who don't have kids. Our lives matter. We matter. We help shape the world for your kids, too. We helped make it better, for one, by NOT putting more kids alongside them. Our feet matter just as much as yours. We played with Lego. We, the childless few, know exactly how those blocks feel. Why do parents -- here, of all places -- claim sovereign lego pain rights?

If you're a grown adult playing with legos....

I'm right there with you! :D

But if you step on a Lego that YOU left out on the floor, you have nobody but yourself to blame. :P

On a side note, one of the saddest things about growing up is how crazy expensive Lego has gotten. You used to be able to get a HUGE set for $20, and now that same set is $50, maybe $100 for something licensed (which most stuff is any more.)
The prices for the non-IP licensed sets actually tracks roughly through the years. But the price tag on Star Wars, Marvel, and HP is enormous.

Honest answer: because if you, as a non-parent adult with Lego, leave Lego on the floor and step on it, it's your own darn fault. :D

I love my kid, but their toy room is probably eligible for UN inspectors as a minefield at this point. (To be fair, we just had two young cousins come to visit, but they can't claim that it was clean before, either...)

I've seen that same Tom Jones syndrome joke with Kirk and McCoy. Still funny.

BTW, monty, a lot of your earlier posts in this thread seem to be dead links now. It isn't anything I or the other mods are doing. I thoroughly enjoy your posts here and have posted several on Facebook.

Cross-post from here. I hope it is as funny to read as I found it funny to make. :)

Never do. One of my eyes is trained on where I'm going, and scans the surroundings on how to get there.
With my other eye, I look down to watch where I step. Primarily for smelly things that'd muck up my shoes -- but secondly, for Legoes.

People have warned me that I'll get totally off-angled eyes. But at least they get me where I'm going without the horror of perforated feet.

These are really great!

A while back I saw a series of memes in which Captain Sisko makes (bad) dad jokes to other characters, including Picard (a joke about Making Garak sew) and Winn (his favorite spice to cook with is Kai Anne).

Has anyone else seen these? I can't find them now and I'd love to have them...

In the meme time (ha!) I hope you'll enjoy this:

I found the Picard one, but I still can't find the Winn one... it will be in the same format as these:

If there is to be a Star Trek: Jellico, with him just making stupid puns while Troi and/or Riker stare at him, I could get into that.
