I have noticed the same thing -- Monty, you spill your guts, both positive and negative. But then, when a benevolent suggestion is made or people ask too many -- honestly interested -- questions, you react harshly along the vein of "it's my own business" or "that's your opinion, why should I care". Which can be seen to attempt to kill off a discussion that you willingly started or entered.
This is the second time that I think such a reaction is un-called for, in a short time-span.
We're smart too, you know. We (I, in any case) know -- and do not assail AT ALL -- that you have a right to self-determination. Some(?) of us are not egotistic, malevolent, rude, horrible people who want to boss you around (and I can't but assume you know it).
People who like to engage in meaningful discussion just naturally react to what you say about yourself and your opinions. See that as a compliment and recognition, not as an attack on your sovereign rights. (That was a friendly, well-meant suggestion -- not a misplaced attempt at "giving you an order".)

What exactly troubles you about it?
I'm taking the liberty of also answering that question.
Sometimes, what troubles me -- from any given source -- is negativity itself (a troubling which can have quasi-rational components -- dislike of mucking up the atmosphere here, e.g.; and/or semi-irrational ones -- e.g., I don't agree, or I find the manner crude, or I dislike the adversarial intent of such negativity). Or even other reasons.
In this specific case, Monty's negativity troubles me because I hate to agree (because I want to love PIC fully and unreservedly)... but, for important parts, I do agree.
And I continue watching -- if you want to know, Cersan -- because I want to have seen all Trek, and I also hope (
trust, almost... nah) that if I can see things in their completed perspective, they'll make more sense. And I still hope, that I'll love it then.
