Thanks for yet another blistering, exciting game Heaney.

And yes, we will both have heart attacks about this game for years to come.

Congrats on making it to 3-0, Niall. You look like you are poised to take the title of United States National Champion. But I wouldn't be a good game maker if I did not have a few more surprises in store for our victors. So very much can happen in two weeks, especially when everybody's got a price. Good luck surviving the final stretch. You will need it...

Thanks Kris.

All games so far have been literally one turn away from going the other way. This ain't easy.

I'm excited about getting completely destroyed by Carter in a future round.

In an impromptu hardcore match, Sykes FW Maggie 100-0.

Pay no attention to the score, this game was a total slobberknocker! Steel chairs to the back of the head, flying elbows off the top rope, multiple near-falls narrowly avoided, you name it, we had it!

This one will take awhile to sort out on the report, but the fun factor was off the charts!

Great game, Maggie! Good luck the rest of the way! :cheersL:

Thanks for the result, Sykes, and to all of our tributes that have sent me their deck list so far. At quick count, I am still missing a half dozen deck ID #'s and would have to have to call folks out specifically to get them. If you have not submitted it already, please do so ASAP. Thanks! :cheersL:

This was a heck of a game that completely flipped on a random choice and a potentially never before seen or contemplated card interaction.

Yep, without spoilers, it was the interaction between an old card and a new card. Very much what 1E is all about. Fantastic game!

Attention, tributes, attention...

I will be out of town for a long weekend, but am hopeful to get the pairings out Friday while I am away. As this will be Round 4 please double check your respective VP total and your pairing for accuracy. I believe I have all the results entered correctly, but it is easy to flip a win for a loss in the tournament system by accident. If I have, that would screw up the pairings for everyone as we head down the final stretch of United States Nationals.

P.S. If you have not already sent me your deck ID #, please do so soon.

Attention, tributes, attention...

Fourth round pairings for our 18 combatants are cited below. As previously stated, pairings will be announced in this thread on Fridays. Players have until the following week to get together, play and report the result. For this week, that means I expect you all to play your games by July 31st. Results should be reported here via forum post or via PM to yours truly, LORE. As a reminder:

- Lackey and a mutually agreed upon voice communication (Skype, Discord, Zoom, etc.) are required to play
- Rules/Banned cards in effect at the start of the tournament remain in effect throughout
- You may NOT change your decks between rounds
- Deck lists are REQUIRED - please send the deck ID number to me as soon as possible, preferably within the first two weeks of the event
- Wins, Losses, Byes, and Missed Games for un-scheduled / un-played matches over the course of the event will be handled on a case-by-case basis by me or an outside neutral party (if the game somehow involves me)
- 105 minute time limit per game (players are highly encouraged to enforce this)

The opening night undercard special saw a knock down drag out submission match between me and Heaney.

When the dust settled, I walked away with an exhausting - yet fun! - 56-0 Mod Win.

Sykes MW Heaney 56-0

Good game, James! :cheersL:
