MVB wins 100-0 in what I can honestly say was the least fun game I have played in a while. Not because he was mean or anything, but because he drew a perfect opening hand and more or less locked me out

Static Warp Bubble plus Telepathic Alien Kidnappers left me drawing for Kevin or Kivas and they came too late

Plays battle Borg in (not a) Worlds

Complains about not having fun because his opponent drew the nuts in sealed deck

One of these things is not like the other.

The 1E sealed pools, imho, leave much to be desired. They almost always come down to the Haves against the Have Nots, and the card distribution is nowhere close to what you would receive in actual packs. Being on the receiving end of both sides all fall / winter long, this unequal distribution is evident in nearly all the deck lists that have been posted. :twocents:

I know what goes around comes around. MVB even told be before the game that he had been hoping to pull one thing off all tournament and I wasnt going to like it if it worked. He was correct. I am not complaning that it happened or that he won. Just that I literally could not do anything draw and say go most turns.

Battle borg can be TT'd it can be played agaisnt (except maybe agaisnt other they will be comming borg). I went 10 turns without a card play.

Michael won fair and square. It would have also been hard for me to win because I didnt have a space mission I could solve due to a duplicate and me leaving out a dilemma skill (for no reason but my mistake). He won. Good for him. That doesnt change the factual statement that i did not enjoy the game. I am not claming anything is broken or it wasnt fair, just not fun.

Still, indeed, lady luck was nowhere to be seen for you, the rest of the game. This FW feels... polished, well-played perhaps; but also a bit too easy. You weren't to blame.

Thanks for a great hour, and the chat afterwards! :)

All results are in. Congrats to Michael Van Breemen on the tournament win!

I'll draw a random player to win the prize pack for this event on or around February 8th. Don't forget to attach your decklist and/or submit a tournament report for additional entries into the drawing!

Thanks everyone for playing! The Online Limited Series continues next week with a Second Edition event, Reflections 2.0 Sealed. I'll run another First Edition event in March (details TBD).

Yeeey!

I attached my deck. (For now, temp., it's still private -- to see how the system behaves.)

I want to understand... everything. In the results page, Jon and Kris's decks are not visible as icons (yet Jon's report is). But both of them obviously(?) attached a deck, because there's a deck name for each of them.
Are their deck icons not visible because their decks, too, are still private?
And what result does this have -- keeping a deck private or making it public?

I sincerely hope my After Action Report is not too short to warrant those add'l entries. :shifty: Must... write... more...

This is exactly right. Their decks are not visible to other players until they are made public. (They also won't qualify for achievements until they are made public.)

Tripped, fell, and made a total mess of the whole building* while running at relativistic speed to make my deck public.

I was looking for the photo of the house where Chuck Norris divided by zero, but couldn't find a good angle. This... seemed nice, for lack of better. :P

My deck not being public was simply an oversight. Not much to say... I got basically no dilemmas, those that I did get sucked or have been hit with errata. This was not the reason I dropped (dealing with some real life stuff as a handful here already know about) but certainly factored into the decision.

I sincerely hope everything has calmed down / gotten safe again. :cross: There was no "bias" in my comment (naturally?) and you needn't have explained (but thx anyway!); they were just observations that I used to get more insight in how the tourney/decks/results (OP for short?) system works.
Qapla' if you still need it! :cheersL:
