This is correct. Michael Van Breemen is your 2024 Masters of the Universe champion by virtue of the Strength of Schedule tiebreaker. He gets the title, and the Win Achievement he was going after. Big congrats are in order for that accomplishment.

But Michael Van Breemen is also a Warrior at heart. And like an Honorable Warrior, he doesn't JUST want to win in tiebreakers. Tonight's match isn't about the title, it's about the GLORY.

AND THE PLAY MAT!

That's right, this isn't a just for funsies match. There's real stakes on the line. The winner of Tonight's epic clash will take the ultimate real world spoils: the Masters Play Mat! From this day forward, that player will be able to throw down that mat across from any opponent, and strike fear into that opponent that they were able to earn such a mighty prize!

Will MVB bring ALL of the Glory to him and his house? Will Sykes finish this event as the only truly undefeated player? Only one way to find out: Tune in tonight!!

I won 100-10.

Michael
Quality systematic dismantling of my deck.

I identified a few issues with it as I was playing and unfortunately against a top tier player playing a top tier deck, even the little things make a big difference. Back to the deck lab one more time!

Congrats again to our 2024 Masters of the Universe champion, MVB! Enjoy the title, the achievements, the playmat, and most important, the GLORY to you AND YOUR HOUSE! A worthy successor champion to my 2023 run! :cheersL:

Nah, that was @pfti not knowing how computers work apparently!

Though I am flattered to see my [Vid] deck is seeing play. I'm curious to hear what others think of that build.

I did in fact play [KCA]. Correct deck is now attached.

It's a lot of fun. Its biggest weakness seems to be a deck that can spam lots of ships. My only loss was because I got outrun and did not draw into enough bonus ships to pressure my opponent or solve as fast as I needed to

Also, the potential two mission win is good and renewed spirit is baller as always.

The fact that we can play Vidiian and have them be both competitive and fun to play is a huge testament to 1E's Design folks. Thank you again for that. While I am not convinced anyone has cracked the code with them yet, I am personally enjoying the effort I am putting in trying to do so. That said, they can very easily get outgunned in the current meta (e.g. an Obsession themed deck, Staging Ground, etc.) and I also think that is kind of a good thing. Even if they end up having more bark than bite long term, they appear to have done what Design intended by shaking up the meta a bit.
